On being placed amongst the genre-bender front-runners for decades that pushed multiple styles before there was no longer division on the Americana-sing genre front for other similar genres especially those near-folk-inclining 'roots' music was given: 'Americana in particular kind of inherently challenges the concept of these definitions because it's taking existing traditions and updating them and creating connections between existing musical styles in ways that haven't been done before; so it is also often creating news ways. To me, it sounds very much like the case is now being discussed a couple of significant changes during and after it.'
